Is Tyria Really Earth?
Could Tyria be Earth?
I have a theory. Tyria is really our own planet Earth (Terra) in the distant future... maybe long after some global catastrophe decimates all that we know (perhaps due to a global searing of our own doing). Why would I think this? Well, standing in Droknar's Forge while waiting for a friend to show up, I found myself taking a good long look at the moon. No question about it... that's our moon! How can this be... unless...  Could it be... that as countless ages passed... that "Terra" became known as "Tyria"? /ponders

Well, that would account for why the game uses earthly idolic symbols like the Ankh, Cross, Pentagram, Star of David, and others.
The map also really reminds me of areas spanning France (In the south west), England (Shiverpeaks?), Maguuma (United States?) |

OMG! It must be earth! There's humans and they only exist on earth so tyria must be the same place! :O They also have boats and swords..how can it be anything other than earth!? (omg omg omg...)
